High Justice, by Pournelle, Jerry

Jerry Pournelle is best known these days as the long-time collaborator of Larry Niven. Together Niven and Pournelle in the 70's and 80's wrote some of the biggest, block-buster SF novels of all time, many of which can be found in this list that I am creating. One of the Co-Dominion books that I found myself enjoying is “King David’s Spaceship.” It is the only one I still read besides “The Mote in God’s Eye.” I have fond memories of Falkenburg from “The Mercenary” and other titles, but, I find the settings and politics to be naive. David Drake is a writer who does a very good job with complex political issues and he does not paint in black and white political strokes like so many of Baen’s stable of writer’s do.

I have yet to read anything else (except for Mote, which is reviewed here too). But I do have some Falkenberg stuff in the pile. You’re certainly correct that Pournelle wears it on his sleeve.
