This short story (I think of it as a short rather than a novella as I first found it in a compelation) is probably my favourite piece by Clarke, who is easily one of my favourite authors (and died on my birthday sadly).
Obviously 5 stars are a rare thing to hand out, so giving this 4 makes sense, but in all honesty I don’t know how it could have possibly been any better than what it was.
I still have a lot of Clarke to get through before I run out, and I sincerely hope that some of what I’ll run across will come close to this one.
